What this site collects, what it does not, and why.

The short version
You can use everything on this site without an account and without giving us anything. The tuner and the converter run entirely inside your browser. We use Google Analytics to count visits. That is the whole picture.
The tuner and your microphone
The tuner asks your browser for microphone access so it can hear the string you play. The audio is analysed in your browser and thrown away frame by frame. It is never recorded, never saved and never sent anywhere. There is no server involved at any point.
Your browser will ask your permission before the microphone turns on, and you can refuse or revoke it at any time. Nothing else on the site uses it. The site also sends aPermissions-Policy header that switches off location and camera access entirely.
The converter
Whatever you paste into the ABC converter stays in your browser. It is not uploaded, not stored, and not logged. Once the page has loaded you can disconnect from the internet and the converter will still work, which is the simplest proof of it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets cookies and collects your approximate location, your browser and device, the pages you view and where you arrived from. We use it to decide what to build next, nothing else.
We do not sell data, we do not run advertising, and there are no advertising or social media trackers on this site. You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely withGoogle's browser add-on. Google's own account of what it collects is in theirprivacy policy.
Accounts
Signing in is optional, and everything that works today keeps working without it. If you do sign in with Google, Google tells us three things: your name, your email address and your profile picture. We ask for nothing beyond that, and we cannot see your Google password, your contacts, your files or anything else in your account.
We store, against your account:
- the tunes you save to your favourites
- any sets you build and name
- any tune settings you submit, and the name you asked to be credited under
You can delete your account at any time by emailing us, and everything above goes with it. Published settings you contributed stay on the site unless you ask for them to be removed as well, since other people may be using them.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, their servers log requests, which includes IP addresses, for security and to keep the service running. We do not use those logs for anything else.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and object to us processing it. Emailhello@tradtab.com and we will deal with it. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to theData Protection Commission in Ireland.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly start collecting something new without saying so here.
